What is First Tech Challenge?

From the FIRST® website:  It’s way more than building robots. FIRST Tech Challenge teams (up to 15 team members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format.  Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team.

Our FTC team is a year-round team.  Recruiting goes from May to September when the competition season starts.  The team meets weekly and more during the competition season. During off season the team meets regularly to plan workshop, learning session, outreaching events, and so on.  Throughout the year,

 Our Awards

The year of 2020 is our rookie year.  Despite the difficulties of starting rookie team during pandemic, our rookie team won several awards during qualifiers, and advance to the state championship.​  In the 2021 season, the team are doing harder, to learn new skills, and to make bigger impacts on the community.
