First  Lego League Challenge

What is FLL Challenge?

From the FIRST® website: Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students ages 9-16 engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.

Each year, we start recruiting in May after our annual open house.  The season starts in July.  When it ends will depend on the team advancement.  Normally the Qualifier happens in November/December.  The State Championship happens in January.  For teams advance beyond the State Championship, the time will vary depending on the event they advance to.

Team meets weekly during the season and participate in outreach activities.  Members are eligible to help out with the younger teams.
